NaNoWriMo

Based on the dictionary.com, consistency means
  • a degree of density, firmness, viscosity, etc.:
  • steadfast adherence to the same principles, course, form, etc.:
  • agreement, harmony, or compatibility, especially correspondence or uniformity among the parts of a complex thing:
  • the condition of cohering or holding together and retaining form; solidity or firmness.

Let me tell you, consistency is a thing that I’m learning of, working in, and it never yet finished. Many things happen with which in the end, I know that the main problem is consistency. My consistency is worse than bad, sad to say. I can be very excited for a thing and in short term the condition can be upside down. I could feel nothing about the things I was excited about. Stop doing it and just don’t feel the emotion.

One thing I really excited about and still have the emotion until now, is writing. I have something for having novel, but my consistency doesn’t help me at all. How can I have a novel if I never write it?
One day, my friend introduced me to NaNoWriMo. What is it? It’s an independent organization for writer or writer wannabe all over the world to help them writing consistently. In November, they have a novel writing competition. What makes it more interesting is that the languages used by the writer consist of many different languages. Everyone can participate in the competition and also can win it. How can? Yes, absolutely! Actually, all writers here is compete against themselves. Compete to defeat their lack of consistency, experience, and many untold reasons.

Anyway, I have been part of NaNoWriMo since three years ago and not even a word written. What a shame!

This year, nearly a week after, I've decided to join the competition and hopefully I can win it. Wish me luck!
